Job Summary As a Summer Intern at Black & Veatch in Overland Park, KS, you will play a meaningful role in addressing some of the world’s most critical infrastructure challenges. Key Responsibilities Assist with calculating the cost of projects based upon an analysis of collected data applying knowledge and techniques of Engineering and advance mathematics Analyze reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, and equipment to determine procurement and construction cost for assigned projects Develop preliminary layouts and other plans Perform special studies or analyses of specific portions of project Study includes research, investigation, or coordination Individual contributor with no subordinates Preferred Qualifications Preferred Skills: Analytical skills Communications skills, both written and oral Initiative, self starter, highly motivated Attention to detail Interpersonal skills Mathematical skills Problem solving skills Computer skills Minimum Qualifications Current enrollment in ABET accredited university in Civil Engineering, accredited university in Construction Management, or related discipline program. No experience required.
