We're looking for a high-performing sales professional with an entrepreneurial mindset who wants to become a business owner but may not be ready to launch independently just yet. The Farmers Insurance Protégé Program offers a structured path toward agency ownership, giving you the opportunity to build on your sales experience while learning the skills, gaining the experience, and developing the plan needed to run your own agency. This isn't just another insurance sales job. It's a pathway to ownership. What You'll Do Learn While You Earn: Work alongside an experienced Farmers agency owner while developing your sales, client acquisition, retention, and agency management skills. Build Your Book: Generate new business, develop client relationships, and learn how to grow a profitable book of business. Think Like an Owner: Gain hands‑on experience with the business side of running an agency, not just selling insurance. Build Your Business Plan: Work directly with our District Leadership Team to develop a customized business plan and prepare for agency ownership. Invest in Yourself: Complete Farmers training and build the skills needed to make a successful transition into ownership. Your Path to Agency Ownership The Protégé Program provides up to 12 months to complete applicable eligibility requirements and prepare for agency ownership. Eligible graduates have the opportunity to become Farmers agency owners, with new‑agent capital requirements waived upon graduation. Eligible graduates may also qualify for a graduation bonus to help support their transition into ownership. Who We're Looking For You might be a great fit if you: Have insurance sales experience and want to take the next step toward ownership. Have a strong track record in B2B or B2C sales and want to turn your sales ability into a business. Are self‑motivated and comfortable creating your own opportunities. Have an entrepreneurial mindset and genuinely want to build something of your own. Are financially responsible and actively preparing for business ownership. Are coachable, competitive, and willing to put in the work. Have strong relationship‑building and communication skills. Are willing to obtain the required insurance licenses if you don't already hold them. Why Our District? You won't be figuring this out on your own. Our District Leadership Team provides hands‑on coaching, business plan development, strategy, and ongoing support as you work toward agency ownership.
