Maintenance Technician Afternoons At Pilgrim's, Safety Is A Condition, which means the safety of our team members comes first - always.
Purpose and Scope/General Summary: The position is responsible for monitoring and adjusting equipment throughout the department.
Responsibilities: - Monitors equipment for proper operation and makes necessary adjustments and repairs to maximize the efficiency of the equipment.
- Responsible to identify opportunities for improvement and to communicate those to supervisor and/or lead person.
- Identify and apply standard symbols used in industrial documentation.
- Conducts scheduled preventative maintenance and troubleshoot bearing failures.
- Diagnose and repair drive-related issues to ensure optimal performance.
- Assists maintenance department in troubleshooting, repair, modification and construction of equipment and structure as needed including initiating work orders.
- Analyse and troubleshoot electrical circuits using Ohm's Law and Kirchhoff's Law.
- Safely use multi-meters and other diagnostic tools
- Execute welding operations following safety and quality standards.
- Interpret welding symbols and apply appropriate techniques for repairs and fabrication.
- Maintains proper records on all equipment.
- Flexibility required as overtime and weekend work occur and may be required.
- Gathers feedback from production team members on a regular basis on how the equipment, workstations, and product flow is functioning.
What You'll Need: - Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.
- Have the ability to work with minimal direct supervision.
- Excellent mechanical aptitude and abilities in order to analyse, evaluate, and solve mechanical problems.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience in the operation of maintenance power tools.
- Ability to pass hands on maintenance assessment
Why Work for Pilgrim's? - Schedule: Nights: Sunday - Thursday 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm; Weekends: Friday 10:00 am - 10:30 pm, Saturday & Sunday: 8:00 am - 8:30 pm, Afternoons: Monday - Friday 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm every other week, Sunday - Thursday 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm every other week.

- Base hourly salary rate of $ 28.02/hour - $37.76/hour, shift differential if applicable : Afternoon or Weekend Shift is $1.00/hour, or Night Shift is $1.50/hour;
