Job Opportunity – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) RN – Ohio

Start Date: December 14, 2026

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 36 hours per week, rotating day/night schedule every 4 weeks (same shift for 4 consecutive weeks, then rotating to opposite shift), every other weekend (Friday & Saturday)

Highlights:

• Progressive Care Unit with mixed patient population including oncology, post-surgical, COPD, sepsis, and general medical patients
• Strong focus on cardiac monitoring, telemetry, and dysrhythmia interpretation
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Patient ratio of 3-4 patients per nurse
• Specialized unit setting with secure access protocols
• Float opportunities within the healthcare system to enhance clinical versatility

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of current acute care PCU/Stepdown experience
• Valid RN license (Compact or Ohio state license in hand at time of application)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Previous telemetry experience mandatory
• Experience with IV insulin protocols and insulin drips
• Strong cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation skills
• Education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• First-time travelers considered (profiles subject to manager review)
• 2 professional references required (at least 1 from manager/director or formal leadership)
